FREMONT, CA – March 14, 2005 – @Road, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARDI), a global provider of mobile resource management (MRM) solutions, today unveiled the @Road Technology Demo Van at CTIA Wireless 2005 booth #5619. “The combination of @Road MRM applications with the wireless technologies we’re featuring in the Technology Demo Van illustrates our ability to deliver robust solutions for field force productivity and enhanced service delivery,” said Leo Jolicoeur, @Road chief marketing officer. “We’re proud of this technological achievement and look forward to showcasing the van and our family of @Road MRM solutions at CTIA.”
The wireless technologies incorporated into the @Road Technology Demo Van, along with @Road MRM solutions, are designed to offer businesses the visibility into their mobile resources that they want and need in order to meet and exceed customer expectations while helping to streamline service delivery processes. @Road accomplishes this by enabling the convergence of wireless communications, location-based technologies, hosted or installed software applications, transaction processing and the Internet.
With the Company’s recent acquisition of Vidus, @Road can also provide businesses with the power to synchronize their mobile resources. Vidus’ intelligent and automated software, taskforce™, is designed to enable companies to provide service on demand, accommodate customer preferences, and reliably meet customer commitments by overcoming the complexity and unpredictability of the service delivery environment. The combination of Vidus’ taskforce application with the @Road family of MRM solutions is designed to offer businesses complete end-to-end MRM solutions for optimized service delivery.
“Many organizations with a large force of field service workers, such as telecommunication and utility providers, are increasingly facing pressures to reduce customer churn rate and service delivery costs while trying to increase revenue,” Jolicoeur said. “As a full service provider of real-time MRM solutions, @Road helps businesses gain a competitive advantage by helping to alleviate these pressures and enable them to synchronize their mobile resources to optimize the service delivery process.”
