Vidus Appoints Ken Colby as Senior Vice President of Operations
9 August 2004: Vidus, provider of intelligent Field Service Automation solutions, has appointed Ken Colby as Senior Vice President of Operations. He will be responsible for all personnel involved in the design, development, implementation and support of taskforce, Vidus's intelligent software application that enables service providers to synchronize all their field service resources.
Colby is an internationally experienced executive with over 20 years of industry experience in managerial roles at companies such as Oracle, Sybase, Mincom International, ECsoft (UK) LTD and Indus International. He has led consultancy groups of more than 300 employees with particular expertize in the ERP-II market, delivering profitable revenue in excess of £25 million, and has spearheaded profitability increases within professional services teams globally by increasing utilization, billing rates, and service delivery quality.
Prior to his appointment at Vidus, Colby worked as Senior Director of Professional Services EMEA at Sybase Europe, where he led the delivery of consulting and education services to customers across the EMEA market and was responsible for over 200 consultants, educators and contractors in 11 countries. In other roles Colby initiated cost reduction programmes, implemented new internal systems to improve visibility into utilization, costs, and services sales pipeline, oversaw the implementation of several new lines of business and on several occasions increased the sales pipeline by more than 100%.
