31 October 2003: a.p.solve, author of the only commercially available intelligent field workforce automation solution, TASKFORCE, and a recently independent company further to its spin-out from BT Brightstar, has been awarded the ISO9001:2000 quality system standard accreditation in just a few months. The extensive and in-depth system and process audit was completed towards the end of August 2003, an extraordinary achievement considering a.p.solve only span-out from Brightstar in May 2003.
a.p.solve undertook the extensive audit because the values that the ISO9001 accreditation process stands for -- ensuring quality customer service and business efficiency -- are of strategic importance to the organisation and its customers.
Richard Wyndham, vice president of development for a.p.solve, comments, "For our customers, delivering the highest possible levels of customer service, as efficiently and effectively, is paramount to business success. These are the values which underpin TASKFORCE."
He continues, "On that basis, it is extremely important that, as a newly independent company, a.p.solve continues to demonstrate our commitment to those values and to our customers. We are very proud of having achieved ISO9001 accreditation, while completing the successful spin-out of our organisation as an independent company, negotiating a £multi-million investment deal and a 5 year, £20 million contract win with BT."
The accreditation reinforces the culture and mindset that underpins a.p.solve and its TASKFORCE product suite. The organisation aims to help global telco, utility and cable companies transform the way in which they operate, reducing cost and achieving operational efficiencies while providing the highest levels of customer service at optimum cost. a.p.solve enables companies with mobile workforces to achieve this by intelligently automating otherwise manual processes in highly complex and dynamic environments.
About a.p.solve
a.p.solve's mission is to transform the way corporations with mobile workforces operate, reducing cost and achieving operational efficiencies while empowering the organisation to deliver superior customer service.
Based in Ipswich, UK, a.p.solve develops, markets, sells and supports TASKFORCE, a pioneering intelligent field workforce automation solution, aimed at organisations with mobile workforces of 200-plus engineers. Focusing on companies operating in the telecommunications, cable and utility service industries, TASKFORCE today manages tens of thousands of mobile workers, allowing large organisations to provide a rapid, same-day response, at a significantly reduced cost.
Developed at a cost of more than £100 million and 1000 man years of effort, TASKFORCE uses inbound, real-time information to drive the mobile workers' daily activity. Patented artificial-intelligence-based technologies dynamically and automatically deal with a complex mix of planned, reactive and demand-driven work orders, optimising the co-ordination of each job's location with the skills of the mobile workforce.
a.p.solve works with a broad range of global partners to deliver the proven competitive advantage to the world's best service companies.
