After extensive testing, we have discovered that customers experience improved GeoManager system performance using IE8. If you are not already using IE8, Trimble Customer Care encourages you to upgrade.
On May 1, 2011, On GeoManager will include and display the latest version of Bing maps.
This means you will experience:
GeoManager Map View will render multiple points more quickly so that maps pan and zoom faster when you are navigating.
GeoManager Map View's Birds Eye View feature will include seamless, smooth panning at all zoom levels to provide life-like building views in urban centers.
The improved Bing map also allows GeoManager data overlays to be more easily readable.
Starting in February, 2011, customers who are using GeoManager Classic will be moved in groups to the new GeoManager Fleet Management interface. This transition will take several weeks and you will receive email notification before your group is migrated.
The latest GeoManager interface offers new Microsoft map views, turn by turn driving directions, access to traffic data in certain geographies within the United States and improved access to Exception notifications. Once you are using the new Fleet Management interface, you will also have the option to upgrade to new services, such as DriverSafety and WorkManagement powered by the GeoManager platform. These upgradable services will help improve your fleet safety and productivity.
GeoManager Classic will be accessible for approximately 60 days after migration. After this time, only the new GeoManager Fleet Management interface will be available for use. Please use this interim to become familiar with the new interface.
